Absolute gem of a place. Martin and Chris are extremely knowledgeable and passionate, and skilled at educating in an accessible manner. We attended the Autumnal Equinox talk which engaged all of my brood (ages 4, 6, 8 and 9) as well as us adults! The weather was against us with heavy rain, but we were snug inside and kept very engaged with the talk and presentations. The history of the telescope itself is fascinating. We really look forward to visiting again and, hopefully, getting the full experience with clear skies!

Superb night - Thoroughly enjoyed by all. Chris and Martin were thoroughly entertaining hosts - extremely informative and just the right amount of humour with all knowledge made digestible for everyone. When we arrived on the back of a thunderstorm on an extremely cloud night we were unsure what to expect. Yet even with the weather not playing ball, everything seemed seamless and we all left with a much deeper understanding of just how small and insignificant we are in this marvellous universe to which we inhabit. Seriously, just a really nice way to spend an evening. It is extremely good value for money and I could not recommend more! We will be back on a clearer night to see just how much more these guys can show us. Thank you very much (Peter & lovely wife included!!) Bryn, Lauren & Thomas.

We went to watch the lunar eclipse in July. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who were very obliging. Plenty of telescopes set up so no one had to queue. Nice relaxed evening and we learned a lot! Thanks .

My Daughter, her best friend and I had a fabulous time at Lime Tree Observatory last night at their Kids Half Term Talk. We all came away having learnt something and with a much better understanding of what is up above us. We were blessed with a beautiful clear sky and observed satellites, a meteor, Saturn, Mars and the Milky Way. Martin and the team were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and encouraging which really involved all of us. Wrap up warm and pay them a visit, it’s brilliant.
