Many years of dining at The Homestead . Many years of family and friends eating with us. The Godfrey's provide the best homemade food we have ever had anywhere. Homemadexsoups and bread are one of our favorites . The options for types of potato served and on the menu my husband loves. I love fish and they offer the freshest fish in season. The cleanliness and service is always consistently great. You get a warm feeling like arriving to a friends home for dinner. Our favorite desserts are chocolate cake with boiled frosting and their cheese cake are the top. Homestead is our regular stop after church on Sundays. Barley beef soup is permanent on their menu .and favorite . Could say so much more but I think you have my opinion .

A great place really enjoyed breakfast had a special early morning breakfast with sausage was great throughly enjoyed, the staff polite and friendly the service was great and I was lucky had a nice view of the river. From price location it’s a perfect place for anytime of day will certainly return.

Nice quality sausages, excellent toast, good eggs. They gave us more food than we ordered which resulting in us not being able to complete our meal, thus resulting in a feeling of guilt.

Have to say, the hype that this served a decent breakfast hit the mark. Very friendly staff and very popular with the locals. Their fresh baked bread served as toast is a must. Bonus is of you get there early enough, you can buy a loaf (or 3) to go. Coffee is extra, even with a meal, but there is a discount if you get a full meal and it is bottomless.
