This small garden, sandwiched between Shortbridge Street and Gas Street, features a life-size bronze statue of Robert Owen and a large plaque on the wall with his name, birth and death years and what he is famous for. It's a good meeting spot or somewhere to sit and have lunch on a sunny day. Robert Owen was a textile manufacturer and social reformer in Wales in the early 1800s. He's best known for his efforts to improve working conditions in his factories and founding the short lived utopian socialist movement.
