Nice shaded shelter by the river with a large sandbar. A second shelter on the sandbar. #1 leaks water under the door when it rains heavy.

If you found this place , then you already know what makes it so amazing, and if your wondering how to find it . Your either hiking in or kayaking/canoeing in ..maby boating in with a small flat bottom boat . If you go to Staple Fork Landing on perdito river you will find a hiking trail that leads south. Roughly 1-2 milesish later you will find it

It's gonna be hot in the south shelter as there is no shade, roof is tin, and some Einstein decided to put screen only in the front. The other three sides are enclosed. The north shelter has shade however, when it rains, water running off the front enters the shelter from under the door flooding the shelter. It leads me to believe it isn't level. To go further, if you stay there, don't be surprised if you get thrown down on by game wardens and marine police. Even if you are a wholesome family with children. Don't move or touch anything. They'll want to search. Aside from that, their a little Gestapo about their rules. Don't bring a chainsaw. They don't want you cutting even dead wood that's down already. That's even if they allowed fires. Not worth it. Put a boat in or pack a canoe to camp on a sandbar they have no access to.
