Fabulous medieval city hanging on the side of the cliff. Old streets packed with restaurants and shops. You can walk along a 12 stations Via Dolorosa and the castle on the top can be visited.

If you park in the valley and enter the small village first, which I highly recommend, you can get some souvenirs and food. Before you enter the cathedral afterwards, you need to use the stairs (takes 3 minutes). It's a nice cathedral so worth taking a look. Then there is a 10-15 minutes long walk to the top/the Castle but honestly: the Castle is too expensive for what you get, just enjoy the view at other places during the walk to the top. And if you start in the valley, don't use that little train to the village because walking is almost faster (and free).

The Basilique is nice and there is loads of detail in it for those that look but the feature for me was the views from the top.

Very interesting place. The pilgrims knees must have been well padded to climb those stairs from the town at the bottom to the top

The whole place is so overwhelmed with tourists, but still the city's worth to visit. Just don't get caught by multiple tourist traps!

Always a nice place to visit but made special this time because a service was being held there.

The old church and chapel are stunning and have so many little details inside to see. The views from the terraces and the pathways are beautiful as well. It is definitely worth a visit and better to walk up and down if you can to appreciate all the elements and perspectives. It's a pity that the town at the bottom of the hill is so touristy but it is easily avoided.
