As the Commander of Post 172, I feel that I must reply to the above comments. Our hall requires renters to sign a contract that indicates a rental rate (depending on time used) and a 200 deposit which is returned within 30 days after the event if there is o damage to the building or its contents\. Additionally, the renter and I have a discussion of what is expected when an event is over: turn off all lights, turn heat down, turn stove off, close and lock windows, lock all doors, etc. In addition to the discussion, there is a sign posted at each exit listing all of the these items as well. These are simple expectations that we expect our renters to follow or part of the deposit will not be returned. We now have an addendum to the contract that lists all of the \common sense\ items that need to be done before leaving the building after an event so that there aren't any further misunderstandings between the customer and the management of Post 172.

It was my first time renting this place for an occasion. I paid Almost 500 to rent it out and they required a 200 deposit nothing on the statement said it’s non refundable. I made Sure the place was spotless and clean!! The owner took half my deposit because of the heat and one light was left open! It’s pathetic every other y’all I rented Never talked about utilities being left on or off. I felt really hurt. I was Gonna be renting it out for all of my other occasions but after this experience I will No longer be renting it out. It’s not even about the money it’s about the principal.

STOP DO NOT CALL THIS PHONE NUNBER LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE. I rented this place for an occasion I had. I paid the rental fee and the lady also required a 200 deposit. We made sure we cleaned the place after and made sure it was spotless and nothing was damaged. She kept half my deposit because I left the lights and heat on. I have never ever heard of such thing (that’s why I pay a rental fee is to lights, heat and the facility. This place is a scam and they do NOT want repeating customers they are here to take advantage of people not make them happy.
