I am so incredibly outraged at Catawba Animal Clinic. Let me preface this with I have used them for 10 years. We recently received a terminal diagnosis for our dog, Nelson. We decided comfort care would be the best for him and provided this care for Nelson for over two months. As his condition deteriorated, I had several questions as his condition changed. When I asked questions, the staff very much acted like it was an inconvenience. When it came time to put Nelson down, we asked for Saturday. The office asked to do on Friday. We declined and the office offered to work us in on Saturday, 11/7/20. After Nelson passed, we were rushed out of the office without having enough time to say goodbye. It was near the end of their work day. Today, 11/10/20, we called the cremation provider and learned that Catawba Animal Clinic NEVER CALLED THEM until Monday at 5pm! Our poor Nelson was left at the vet's office from 11/7/20 Saturday noon until Catawba called at 5pm on Monday, 11/9/20 evening. This is SUCH A DISGRACE! TOTAL LACK OF COMPASSION FOR OUR PET AND FAMILY! After 10 years of service, I am absolutely certain that Catawba Animal Clinic will never care for any of my pets!

Drop in for booster vaccinations is not always optimal. More advanced notice of closures due to staff training would be helpful. Your quick response prompted me to edit my response and to add a star. We have been coming here for at least 5 years and your staff has always been professional, courteous, friendly, and compassionate. Last year I had to say good bye to two friends that shared our life for 14 years. Your team was extremely helpful to lessen the burden of that decision. We've had 5 or 6 animal friends under your care and you were recommended by an aunt whose opinion I value greatly. Thank you for all that you do!
