We had a wonderful time! The wait staff was on point and they did everything to accommodate our birthday crowd! The food was excellent! Sadly the salad bar was still down but in the world of covid no reason to hold that against them.

My waitress was great, and easy on the eyes. Red headed doll. But the food... pulled pork was really good, even without sauce. Ribs, I'm still picking meat out of my teeth and I ate an hour ago, so I'm saying they weren't tender in the least. 1/4 slab of chicken was good with the correct texture to the skin even. The brisket... Being a food truck owner of smoked goods, this locations brisket was tender yet dry as hell. I've eaten at many sonny locations as my wife is a FL gal and loves to dine there while we're on vacation. However the only location I've tried with a damn good brisket was just south of Macon GA. If this Sonnys location was my first try at their food, I can tell you there wouldn't have been a second attempt.
So, listen... Sonny's food sells itself! You hear me?! I dance the whole time I'm eating my food from here! I thoroughly enjoy my food & the customer service just take it to another level of enjoyment for me. You gone eat yo cornbread?! I need two, please! Every single time

This is a stop we always make when coming back from Florida, it is the last Sonny's before home. Today 01/02/21 we were delayed 4 hrs due to horrid traffic. We arrived at 9pm after calling and giving a heads up. We took our 2 feasts to go as well as 2 sandwich meals. We felt horrible coming in so late yet these guys made us feel welcome, took our order and had it filled and we were back on the road by 9:20pm. Sandwiches were great, sides were excellent, and the service was marvelous. An older gentleman took our order while the rest of the staff pitched in to fill the order. We appreciate them very much. He even carried out drinks out to our truck for us.
