First and foremost I want to thank the center staff for their Dedication and their support during my most stressful times. The recreation director Miss Fran J. Sonustun is amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I connect during COVID-19 pandemic. I am pleased and satisfied with the staff at the center.

From the time you walk through the door until the time you leave the facility shows an aura of being unfriendly and unprofessional. The lobby has no chairs for guests friends or family to sit while waiting for resident to come down. The elevators are constantly broken. You then get on the floor to meet the resident and the staff are exceptionally rude and unprofessional. They act as if the residents are animals in cages. The quality of the food is not suitable for animals in the zoo no less humans. Their patio looks like a construction zone or a jail. The staffing is very inadequate due to the constant turnover which makes it difficult for the residents to get what they need.

If you care about your loved ones, don't place them in this dump. The owner of the facility does not care about the residents. He only cares about filling rooms so that his bank account stays fat. The 4 and 5 star reviews are most likely friends of the owner.

Rockaway doesn't care. That is what it should be called. I've had hives and a rash on my chest with no medicine. Go out to the dentist and they send me to the wrong place. That's just in the passed week. Been here for almost 2 1/2 years and this neglect and abuse needs to be fixed Mr. Pollack!

Friendly staff however their elevators have issues everyday. It takes forever to go up and down in this center
