We searched for a dog trainer who could help us with our adolescent Great Dane. Maggie has a great personality but we had allowed some naughtiness and she was testing her boundaries. Dana was integral in getting us back on line and understanding/implementing quick and effective training techniques. Our times together were pleasant and fun yet focused. Dana’s follow up and accessibility between sessions really helped us gain greater understanding. I am the American Pitbull Foundation's Adoption coordinator. I rely on Dana and the staff at The K9 Coach very heavily to evaluate dogs that are new to our program. As well as assist in consideration of dogs that are trying to be placed into our program. The K9 coach has taken on many of our extremely hard cases and the results and outcomes have been mind blowing. Without the training and modifications that The K9 Coach teach some of these dogs may have never had a chance, The K9 Coach is a very professional, caring and dedicated team of individuals. The K9 Coach has now trained 3 of my dogs. She tailored each training plan to fit the individual needs of each dog-from fear-based aggression issues with my boxer mix to basic obedience classes with my Great Dane. Dana was very patient while I broke my own bad habits and she helped me create a better, more efficient way to communicate with my dogs. She is not only a dog trainer but a people trainer! Now that our classes with Dana are finished we look forward to Distraction Training every week as a great way to continue the reliability of our training and commands--and more importantly, my dogs LOVE going!
