As someone who has been purchasing heating oil for about 30 years, I have to tell you that O'Hara Fuel is not only one of the most competitively priced vendors on the South Shore, but undoubtedly the most reliable that I have ever dealt with. Payments are made COD. I leave a check for them in a zip lock bag and secure it to the fill pipe, as they often deliver in the wee hours of the morning. Over several years of deliveries, they have NEVER been late on a single delivery, and indeed have often delivered ahead of the time they forecast. Once, during a snowstorm, when I was certain that my delivery would be delayed, they showed up just as they said they would! The proprietor, Anthony, uses a "sharp pencil" to calculate the price, and does his best to offer heating oil at the lowest possible price around, during the peak periods of heating seasons. Burner service is not available from these folks but I obtain that service elsewhere, and use O'Hara to deliver the best deal I have been able to find for my heating oil, for two different properties. Forget about high priced "auto-deliveries". Just keep an eye on your tank's gauge, and save yourself a lot of money with O'Hara.

Needed oil urgently today 12/9/2018 and called them at 7am. They delivered at my house in Randolph less than an hour later. I highly recommend them to everyone. Price is also really good, almost 80 cents a gallon less than what I used to get .
They deliver super early in the morning so it never interferes with my work schedule. I pay in cash. They usually have the best prices around.
Took two calls to get through. I chalk this up to being busy. Delivery was prompt (they were 20 minutes early of the estimated block time they provided). I ordered a complete fill and sure enough, it's full. I even listened to the whistler as he filled (this is my second oil fill). The only downside, I had to pay cash as my personal checks did not match my new address. And I had to wake up at 4:45am to pay the technician. I have used another service that accepts credit cards, which is a nice feature. However, I could not pass up the opportunity on the price. I will do business with Ohara Fuel again if their prices come in better than the rest.

After setting up a oil delivery and explaining that we were extremely low on oil I got a call the next day saying they don't take on new clients. Really. You didnt know that the day before when I could of tried calling someone else? Now it was Sunday and we ran out. Horrible service.
I got oil from this place and thought it was weird that they deliver it in the middle of the night. I woke up in the morning to check my oil and it looks to have been barely filled with the 50Gallons i got. I called the place and they called back promptly to let me know that it was all delivered but i still didn't think it was. I have a 275G tank and then delivered 50G's. I was barely above empty when i checked after they did the delivery, i should have been at almost a 1/4 of a tank. I called again and apparently they had all been talking about me because someone i hadn't spoken to already knew who i was and gave me a big attitude and then transfered me to her boss who also gave me an atttude and then told me i was a liar and all of the oil was delivered. I will not be using this place again. I feel cheated and theres nothing i can do because theres no way to prove it and if i did i would be called a liar.
