Unforgettable trip with an outstanding crew. What is it like? 4 days out at sea during the summer, all sunny days, and eating incredible food with the backdrop of the islands and sea of Maine. The crew was extremely helpful and attentive (especially during these times of Covid19 they certainly have the correct process in place). There are bathrooms on board, there's hot freshwater for showers, there's paddleboards and boating for activities, you can swim, you can sail, you can eat and drink (and exceptionally delicious), lobster bakes on the beach, hikes during the day, relaxing, reading, there's so much to do and we are already looking forward to our next trip.

We are regular passenger cruise ship people with 5000 people that you rarely ever meet. The tight quarters on the Stephen Taber allows you to meet everyone on board. You will walk off the ship with 20 new friends. Scott the cook will provide you with top chef cooking he may even hand you a potato to peel. The crew of Nate, Shawn and Alex will provide you with anything they have and will encourage you to help lift the sails, anchor or wash your dishes. Captain Noah and his son lets you know this is a family ran expedition one that has passed from father to son and in coming years will surely be passed to a very capable grandson Oscar. There are no plans on your cruise. Only the captain's intimate knowledge of the local waters and the wind to the sails determine today's course and as importantly tonight's harbor for sleeping. Most likely you will have never slept in a room so small but with all there is to be seen you really won't be needing it for anything but sleep. Bring your cameras and a change of clothes you won't be needing any snacks or really anything else to enjoy this mini vacation on the coastal waters of Maine.

It can't be described, only experienced. Love historic schooners? Love glamping? Love relaxing on the water? Foodie? Wine connoisseur? If more stars were available, more would have been given. Just do it, you won't be sorry.

Traveling with the crew of the Stephen Tabor is a sublime experience. We happened to have absolutely perfect weather for our 5 day cruise, but I think even in less perfect weather it would have been amazing. The crew is amazingly responsive to any need you might have, and were inventive and resourceful with activities and destinations. The food was out of this world, and even more amazing is that it is all cooked on a wood fire stove. To top off the experience we stopped on an island on our last night and had a truly impressive lobster bake.
