Sheriff Reinke responds to people as a sheriff's department should. For 4 years under Kermit Lindsey , all I ever got were lip service and excuses to assist in executing a court order with a deputy. Lindsey's office flat refused, citing shortage of officers, they dont schedule for court actions, telling me they cant help then sending an officer hours later with no advanced communication, no one on duty, Taggert yelling from a back office, etc etc, dragging a court action out for years. The cost to me was to spend more money, waste years, to go before a judge for a second duplicate order. Once presented with the 2nd court order, Sheriff Reinkes office scheduled an officer to assist, an officer who did not antagonize the situation as Taggert did, and patiently waited until the transfer of stolen property was complete. I cannot be thankful enough to her administration for maintaining swift and professional assistance. All new officers are so professional.

Words cannot describe the utmost respect I have for these wonderful people. Thank you again for your concern and positive attitude. Thanks to dispatch as well. Very caring and understanding. She put me at ease right away.

Last Friday when driving thru Owensboro on our way to Nolin Lake, I stupidly left my purse in a restroom of a Wendy’s....I realized it upon arriving at the Lake...I called the Wendys and they said nothing was found or turned in...I was distraught and began cancelling every card I had in my wallet (what all I remembered). On Sunday we were on our way back to STL when I got a call from this police department telling me that they had my purse...it was found in the restroom HOWEVER THE RESTROOM WAS PART OF THE GAS STATION CONNECTED TO THE WENDYS!! It was turned into the gas station who then handed it over to the Spencer County Police Dept.... we veered 18 miles out of our way (GLADLY) and was greeted by the nicest young police officer, Kyle Muldinado, who tried to call me several times (no cell service at Lake) and also found my insurance card in my purse and called them to contact me too.... I cannot say enough about the relief BUT MOSTLY ABOUT THE KIND AND HONEST PEOPLE WHO WENT OVER AND ABOVE TO GET MY PURSE BACK TO ME...

This so called police department let a child molester go doing no work. Lackluster and cannot day in good faith they are here to protect anyone.
