He's done amazing work on both my student and intermediate clarinets. It seems that if my instrument is going to have something go wrong, it happens the week before major performances. He re-bent the entire lower half of my student clarinet after a marching band maneuver gone horribly wrong, and it carried me through home-coming festivities all the way until I retired the instrument in 2009. When my Buffet E13 came home with me, the first stop after purchase was to his shop to fix a torn pad and re-align the bridge assembly. That pad is still going strong to this day 9 years later. This year during the spring rehearsals, it decided to start squawking most alarmingly. It baffled 2 directors who both play clarinet. I took it in to Rodger, got the leaking pads replaced and some shaving to fix cork fit problems. Neither issue was what I thought it was, being able to talk face to face with the repair person was a life saver in this case. Now it's playing even better than it did when it first came to me. If you want repairs done right the first time, repairs that last, and solid advice, call him.

Rodger did an amazing job on my Muramatsu DS. I bought mine used and I wanted a good COA and a dent removed. It now looks new and plays even better than before.

Professional and knowledgeable and extremely helpful, Rodger restored my old Gemeinhardt to functionality on a tight schedule. I would definitely recommend calling him when you need service or an overhaul. He also makes headjoints!

I don't trust anyone else with my flute, and I have recommended him to all my friends and colleagues (and will continue to do so).
