Mt. Pamitinan, Rizal My first hike was breathtaking, literally. The first half I was already tired, my legs started to wobble and my breaths grew short. The other half, my mind almost gave up. The thoughts in my head that kept me going was (1) to beat the expected time the climb usually took, (2) to get there before most people so we had more time for photos, and (3) to experience the sunrise at the peak. Those were exactly what helped me get through and the view was worth the struggle. My breath was taken away by what I saw— sea of clouds, trees covering the surrounding mountains, the sun peaking over the horizon to bask us with its warmth and light. The photos could not give justice to what I saw, what I experienced. I hope to experience this again and I even encourage everyone to try it, at least once in their lifetime! Most thankful to my companions and guide for the awesome experience. Cost: Around 500 pesos (commute, guide, other fees) View: AWESOME The guides knew how to take /spectacular/ photos! They’d even guide you how to pose and angle! Literally no cons, everything considered. #RideOrDie Follow me on Twitter/IG: @jericbb
This is a good mountain for beginners looking for a challenge (426 MASL). Do not think that it would be a walk in the park as it will involve some steep climbing and sharp stones along the way. Make sure that you bring gloves with you and lots of water.
twinhike with Mount Hapunang Banoi specs and trail is recommended for beginners
Very accessible and near from the Metro! But this one is an easy-but-not-so-easy mountain (part of the Montalban trilogy) to hike. Thanks to its rocky terrain, you really have to use all your strength to hike. There's a bonus rope climb also before you reach the peak :) be sure to bring gloves and lot's of water! (Tip: hike on early morning as it's very hot at the peak)
Good place to start your mountain hiking hobby. And it's just an hour away from the city.
Its a beautiful view upstair. not bad in my solo flight
Feel the thirst for the rush of adrenaline and view of nature? Experience the climb and thrill of Mt. Pamitinan. Or should we say Mt. Paitiman? The sun surely won’t give the skin an excuse for not being tan. Mt. Pamitinan, (426 MASL) is located in Sitio Wawa, Brgy. San Rafael, Rodriguez, Rizal. The karst mountain is known for being one of the five peaks—Mt. Hapunang Banoi, Mt. Pamitinan, Mt. Binicayan, Mt. Ayaas and Mt. Lagyo. These stretch throughout Rodriguez called The Pentalogy Climb or The Penta Climb. Hikers come for the challenge of finishing the Penta Climb on a single day, but that doesn’t mean the newbies aren’t welcome to join the fun. In fact, Mt. Pamitinan is enjoyable for both experienced and new climbers. The peak, being a karst mountain, has the unique features of the slanting rock which can make heart-pounding shots. Buy gloves for P20 at the registration area. Environmental Fee – P50 Parking – Free Guide – 500 (5 persons)
