I was at Rogers inpatient in Oconomowoc back in 2010. Worst experience of my life. I had to gather my belongings and the nurse noticed I had make up in my bag. She told me, “you’re not here to be beautiful” with a mean glare. I was only 15 at the time and never been inpatient. The doctor had threatened to get the police and hold me down if I tried to leave. I was crying the whole time and felt scared by the staff. They seemed cold and unprofessional. Then 8 years later, I was at Rogers in Appleton. I wasn’t surprised by the controlling environment and the doctor once again threatening me to be inpatient after I just got out of the hospital. She had a problem that I was taking melatonin for sleep, which is a natural and safe supplement. They even forced me to drive myself down to inpatient which was 2 hours from where I lived, or they would call the cops. Thank God the police were on my side, and thought they were ridiculous for doing that. Shame on you, Rogers behavior health. You’ve done more harm than good to patients. Even traumatizing me at 15. It’s pathetic

I am writing this because I feel like future patients need to be warned and I want to reach as many people as I can... I went inpatient at Rogers (Brown Deer in Milwaukee) in March of 2020. While there, Rogers did not handle my possessions correctly and as a result, one of their employees got my credit card that I had with me and charged almost 400 on it. I was told by management that I would not owe anything because of this incident. I did not have a bill for inpatient, but I did have a bill when I chose to come back for the residential program (which I only completed 5 days of due to this incident and a few other reasons). I filed a complaint asking them to erase my bill because of what I went through and am still going through related to this, but they denied it. PLEASE, please be wary of them if you utilize their services. Demand that your possessions be gone through in your presence. I did not know this was how it was done and paid the price for it. Be very careful about who you trust there. I hope this never happens to anyone else. It's a shame they could not step up and right a wrong. I wish I could leave a review like this on their website where more people would see it, but of course they are not going to allow something like this to be said to potential patients. Please be careful when utilizing their services.

If you have any doubts right now about getting help-don't hesitate, as I had many decades of trying to work out OCD on my own. This place was a God send, as it has given me the tools needed to live a full life now! Thanks Rogers staff, as you are the most amazing and selfless people, and you were there for me when I needed you the most! So what are you waiting for, call them today! Wish there were more stars to choose from, because 5 is an understatement!
