Dirty windows see visible hand prints dirty poop or blood stain on my sheet. Refrigerator is so dusty its caked on. Dirty AC definitely not been cleaned. Hair on towel. Walked in and tiny piece of TP on the floor. Also a baby bottle cap on the floor next to my bed. Very disappointed that the rooms are not clean. You can also see visible hand prints on the headboard of the bed.

Was told that because we lived with in 50 miles we would be charged a extra 250 dollars. The lady was nice and waved that fee after seeing we were on our 21st anniversary and we are veterans. So all in all it was good. The room are not as described however they are really nice. Overall this was a nice place for the price.
I called the day of the stay to make a reservation, and when I arrived, all my check-process was prepared all the way to the key; all I had to do was present my credit card and sign paperwork. Walking in, the light switch on the wall did not turn on any light because the lamp in the room was unolugged. Though, my impression of the room was clean and presentable. The bathroom was free of stains and soap scum. Good water pressure and nice hot water! Beds are firm which I prefer for sleeping. Carpet is to be desired.
They told us the swimming pool was open. It was not. It seem clean. But this was the heater. Not sure what the black stuff on the heater was. We were afread to use it. We thought it was black mold. I also couldn't get the shower to work. It only put out hot water.
I am not sure why this hotel received the high ratings/reviews it did. However, we only stayed in one room out of many and it was not a good experience! There was visually black bug shells on beds. When we unfolded a hand towel there was a crumb, a long strand of hair, and dirt in the center. Additionally, the sheets smelled like sweat. There is a sign that says they don't change towels or bedding but every other day. We took that has meaning if we stayed multiple days not if someone else stays in the room before us. The fan or air conditioner did not worked properly. Lastly, there was a build up of dust all over the hotel especially in the eating area. There was no hot food nor cereal available but that does not excuse cleaning. There was so much dirt on the room floor that we had to dust our feet off for a few seconds before we got into our beds. Oh and my family is itching now like we got bit by bugs all over our bodies.
Very disappointed with customer service, strict covid policies, and being lied to,... do yourself a favor and drive an extra 20 minutes to the Baymont in ST James. 10x better customer service, hot breakfast, and they actually care about thier customers.
My Wife and daughter stayed here with some other family members and paid 99 only to later find out no hot tub or Breakfast "because of covid" then it was blamed on a 3rd party. It's 2021 people! Check with them before you reserve and get ripped off. If You can't produce then close until You are ready to!
I didn’t stay here, but I visited family who did. The staff were rude, but the rooms were clean. The swimming area was watched like a hawk from staff, you couldn’t even enjoy swimming without a staff member constantly coming in and saying, no drinks, no running, no this no that. We couldn’t even visit. Love the area it is in with the Lake area though.
