Faster visit after slow queue at booking in. Bouncer outside was scary doing handover to cubicles inside doorway for detail check but wrong directions issued by her to divert from places you've always previously used. Don't wear rubber gloves. Just face mask. Empty waiting rooms all over. Bloods manned by one newish cubicle staff member mid morning. Pharmacy queue very long due to inexperience. Website lacks information when searching for hospital policy if you need guidance for outpatient operations booked. Example; can a relative accompany/collect you during covid restrictions?

My 81 year old mum was seen by The Ambulatory Care Team today at Queen's. They were fantastic. Our nurse Georgia and Dr John provided my mum with the most amazing care and quickly diagnosed the problem. I cannot thank them enough. Having spent 3 hours in the department I cannot help but be hugely impressed by this department and the care, respect and kindness shown to all that were under their care today. Thank you so much, neither my mum nor I will ever forget you.
I have just been discharged after spending nearly 3 weeks in Queens Hospital with a spinal injury. I have to say that the treatment I received there was exemplary, I had tests, MRI Scans, CT Scans, ex-rays and other procedures all carried out professionally. My problem and recovery plan was explained to me so I could understand. The goof menu was varied and the portions plentiful. All the Doctors, nurses and other staff were happy and cheerful even with the pandemic and staff shortages. I would especially like to thank all those working on Sunrise A ward for their dedication and helpfulness which made my stay there as best as possible. Thank you Queens and our NHS.
My 90 year old mum was taken into A & E. The ambulance people were so kind to her and even visited later to see how she was. The staff, despite Covid were able to take good care for her. Unfortunately she had to wait around for xray, blood test and a scan but was eventually discharged. Thank you Everyone who was involved in her care.
I had a really bad experience at the x-ray department which also does ultrasound. It says emergency all over the x-ray part and is not obvious that it's outpatient as well. I was 20 minutes exactly late for my appointment. The appointment slots are 20 minutes. They said I could not go in for my appointment because I was on the dot exactly 20 minutes late. I take full responsibility for my lack of time management. They're going to send me another appointment in the post. I had originally an ultrasound planned for New Year's Day, they phoned the emergency number instead of my number to cancel the appointment, it was on New Year's Eve and all my family thought I was in emergency in Queen's Hospital because they did not say what it was about. When I got through to them on phone they were so rude to me and said they just phone landline first as protocol, I think it's a stupid rule, I got them to delete the emergency number. It's been over three months since I've fractured my finger and damaged a tendon and I have not had help from the NHS for this, it hurts my heart (emotionally) I have also had incredibly negative experiences with the mental health team and going into suicidal crisis in A&E but I don't really want to go into that, but they have discharge me why I have been actively suicidal alone. To be honest I am frightened of the NHS and I think it's collapsing in on itself, I think there is a lack of funding and training. I do not trust the competentency of the staff. Queen's Hospital in general has got a very bad reputation. The only good experience I've ever had if I found out you can donate your brain when there was a stall there once talking about this, I am adding it to my will as I think it will be beneficial for research.
