This guy will turn your life upside down! And try to convence you that it is just what you wanted , have a contract and spell out everything everything ! Because what you feel running down your neck is not rain! By the time we get done in court he will end up paying us, most of all insist on buying the materials your self his mark up is higher than the supplier he even told me that he did not mark it up and check the quality of the products . Ask around there are very promanent people in the area that are willing to lay it on the line about there experience with him there can't be many repet customers . He was the high bid and was told when we accepted the bid that he was going to be held to the high quality of the bid. But many times the honesty evaded him. UP DATE: after the attorneys got involved it was a somewhat lengthy process he illegally put a lien on my property and was asking for far more than what he had coming, and the only reason that he got even that was because we did not have a contract he received 30% less and what he asked for which was about right amount and we have to live with his mistakes. Bottom line if you're going to deal with this guy contract contract contract outlined the color outline the date he's going to finish and what it's going to cost him per day if he does not finish on time outline everything ,, and if you have a change order make sure it is outlined and attached to the contract,, in Montana the courts favor a contractor when there is no contract otherwise it's just hearsay and he knows that!! I must say his structural work is pretty good his finished work is mediocre but he has a very low knowledge of the products he uses or understanding of how they react, and a very very bad habit of showing up late and leaving early.
