We are unhappy with the service given to us by Renault South Africa, we recently bought a new vehicle from them. Here is the issues we have, we bought the car under the impression that the radio had satnav as the ads and pictures showed it had it and the brochures said it had Medianav, that left us with the impression it ha satnav. We took the vehicle back to the dealer querying this and having more than half the dealership staff around we were told Medianav is the name of the radio system. After they confirmed it had satnav before the purchase. We bought the "new" Kwid as we were told the ABS model was the newest one that was just launched, after a month when the radio of the car just stopped working and died, we took the vehicle back to the dealership as a new vehicle's radio should not just die after a month, we saw that the new model was suddenly on the floor. We did ask when the new models will be released as we paid cash for the vehicle an would have waited n month for the new model. We then asked the dealership why this was not disclosed to us. All they said was that it was supposed to be launched next year only. They said we could trade in the new car with less than 2000km on the clock on the new model, We feel this is not fair as we now have a loss of R30000 to upgrade to the newer model, which we would rather have bought should we have known it would be available a month later. The difference if we waited would have been R5k for the car if we waited and if we were notified that the new car would have been released Please advise what we can do as this is extremely poor from Renault South Africa. Their own technician admitted they should do a recall on the Kwids as majority of them have faulty radios.

I don't even know how this was even passed into policy, im a Renault owner from Protea Glen near ranfontien, i need to service my car, and this is the only one close to where i live or work but i am told the policy can only drop me off if i am in a proximity of 15 km from the service centre. I just got this car, now me taking it to service i must worry about taking my car, taking my self to work, taking my self back to fetch my car. This is unfair i didnt expect if you service the whole Westrand you will start picking which customers are more important to you. Im very dis appointed.
