I had been wanting to do boudoir photos for over 10 years, when the opportunity to have them done with Carmen fell into place, and on my 35th birthday of all days! It was as if it was meant to be, and was an absolutely amazing experience. From preparing for the appointment by getting pampered (facial, eyebrows, spray tan, wax, buying lingerie that I would never have felt bold enough to buy, touring the studio with Nicole prior to my appointment), having my hair and makeup done at the studio the morning of the shoot, Carmen helping me narrow down my outfits, the photoshoot itself, and the reveal after a lunch break, it was an absolute dream. I realize how cheesy that sounds, but it was. I could not believe that I was as comfortable as I was (Nicole and Carmen are awesome), and was in awe of how I looked in my photos before they had even been touched up! They even had a mini Bundt cake with a candle and a card for me for my birthday when I came back to choose the photos I wanted to purchase. It was amazing, and empowering, and one of the best decisions that I have ever made. When I got the email with my digital album, it was as if I was re-living that day. All of the feelings of my being sexy, and beautiful, and a total badass came back, and I was even more in awe of how the final photos turned out. I have shared them with more people than one ver thought that I would, because of how amazing they make me feel. I cannot wait to receive my wall art and printed photos/album. I would recommend this a million times over. I cannot express what it did for me, and continues to do for me. I may have to do it again in another 15-20 years

One of the best pieces of advice I give my brides when choosing a photographer is that they need to feel comfortable with their photographer. Their photographer should feel like a friend. Someone you want to literally spend your whole wedding day with. Your photographer is with you in the most candid moments of the day and you should feel relaxed and comfortable with that person. Carmen is the truly the best example of this. Every time I bring a client to Carmen they feel like they want to hang out with her more. She’s funny and charismatic and caring and down to earth and truly the kind of person you want to share your wedding day with. On top of her amazing personality, she is an insanely talented photographer. Her connection with her clients allows them to be vulnerable which then allows her to capture the true emotions of the day. AND on top of those two things that I love about Carmen, I also truly look up to her as a business woman. She is one of the smartest business owners I know and her first priority is always her clients and their experience. She will always ensure every detail is thought of prior to wedding day so that your special day will be picture perfect!
