We just had Cascade Landscaping do some grading around a problem side of our house where we occasionally get water seeping into our basement. Since this company is very close to our house, I was happily surprised when they were able to give a same-day estimate. They thought they could do the job in the coming weeks, but again - to my surprise, they had a delay on another job and ended up fitting us in the very next week. What luck! The job was fairly straight forward. They removed shrubs & plants, brought in dirt and graded so water would flow away from the house and then covered with a layer of poly to further water proof the area and finally covered with a layer of river rock and edging to keep rocks in place. I had been given another quote at one point for this job and it was much higher than what Cascade had quoted so we never had the work done. The quote from Cascade was MUCH more reasonable. The job was done in a single day and right on budget (1,300). I'm 100% satisfied & have already recommended them to a neighbor.

Initially we were happy with the work, a low wall along our fence and some steps from the street to the yard. Good price and it looked good. Unfortunately the blocks they used to build up the steps started crumbling during the first winter after their instillation. We called to notify Cascade about the issue, it took lots of calls but they eventually came out and took a look, they said they would replace the bad blocks (we offered to pay for a better quality block) but also at the same time were saying that they think it was salt that was to blame for the crumbling! The first sign that they were backing out of responsibility. They said they would get the block tested. So after a long while we contacted again and now the story was that the test concluded that salt was the issue so they felt that they did not need to anything about it. We argued that you can’t use materials in Minnesota that are not resistant to the winter and use of salt (they never left us with instructions to not use salt). We also pointed out that we were willing to pay for the new materials. They kept on with the same excuses and so nothing has been done. My advice would be not to use these guys they are not honorable. Before this issue we were planning to use them again for a few other projects it seems crazy to me that a business would treat customers so badly, in the end it would have cost them little time and no more money to fix this but instead they wasted a lot of our time and lost a customer possibly lots of customers.
I truly appreciate the work Baldemar and his team put into my project. I had a small grading project but they were quick to quote and get me on the schedule. Thank you!!
We have used them 5 times over the past 12 years and I am sorry I haven't posted one review. They are a fantastic crew, owner always onsite and crew very professional. They installed a blue stone patio for us in 2004, it is still lovely 12 years later. They have removed a very large old garden and sodded the yard. When we had basement water problems, they regraded around the house, laid plastic and rock. Our basement has been dry since. We recently had them put up a boulder retaining wall up our long drive, its beautiful and they did it in 2 days. Amazing! Thank You!!!!!

Wonderful attention to detail, especially LOVE that they cleaned up at the end of each day!! NO GARBAGE was left for us to clean up - very thorough!! You will be glad you chose Cascade Landscaping!
