To be honest, I was hesitant about hiring a lawyer for my case. I thought I'd give the Cohen Group a call because I read great reviews about their representation. Immediately, I was transferred to a wonderful lawyer on my initial call who got the job done effectively and efficiently. Amber Zehrung of Cohen Defense was recommended to me by an attorney I had worked with in another capacity. She listened to me and the situation at hand. She laid out a plan, she was clear and upfront about her retainer fees and expenses at various stages of litigation. She explained how to reach her effectively as she is in court a lot. Her response times were impeccable. Her office staff were super helpful, engaged and responsive. Amber works in Placer County, she knows her audience be it the judges, district attorneys, public defenders, clerks, bailiffs, and the jury pool. Reaffirms why a professional should represent you in a court of law. Had complete confidence in everything discussed, that it was accurate and the kind of insight that comes from working in the field, knowing the players, with an educated guess on what path would be best, based upon experience gained. The whole situation was pressed to the extreme, no one knew how much the COVID-19 response would impact everything, but it still felt guided and with that came confidence that our attorney had my son's back, no matter what the court wanted to change, in order to do their job. Finally, he was also given legal advice for future, to watch for change in probation sentence guidelines. Attorney would watch too, and so if changes occur, follow up with the office to have judge modify order. Very much the pleasant part in this whole chain of events, and I would highly recommend both Zachary and the Cohen Group to friends, family, anyone that expresses a need for a professional. In fact, good case to make to someone undecided, the situation was best served with an attorney from this office, see first statement about reaffirmed beliefs.
