Honest and reliable service with good pricing. Gordy gave me a couple of options to fix my transmission and didn't try to up-sell. My car runs great and it was money well spent. Gordy is a trustworthy owner who runs a great shop for all types of car repairs.

Not a good experience at all, I took in my caravan and was told it needed an output speed sensor. The manager said that the problem was not fixed and something must've come apart within the transmission. I declined to do a rebuild, and before scrapping the car I decided to get a 2nd opinion, I went to another shop about 2 miles away. The other shop said that within the computer settings that control the transmission (TCM?) that the "pinion factor" was not set. They said that trying to drive the car without that being set would give a false impression of a failing transmission, and that yes, when replacing a speed sensor it is very normal / reasonable to check that setting among other things to make sure stuff is proper. The other shop said it was 40 for their work, and that my caravan was now shifting just fine. It comes into question if my car even needed a speed sensor to begin with! I contacted the manager of this Royal transmission shop and expressed my concern. I told him the end result is my car now runs fine, and they misdiagnosed it, as a consumer I simply didn't want to be out the additional 40 I had to pay the other shop. The manager said no, he would not give any kind of refund or partial refund consideration, and he told me not to call him again. :( I am now in the process of doing a credit card chargeback. I would not suggest this shop, I didn't even demand a whole refund, I just asked them to cover the real time cost that I had to the other shop to do the job right (again, 40, and I have the receipt, not like I was making up a story). Maybe they don't know what they were doing which is bad, but when a customer makes a very reasonable request and is told to go pound sand, uh?????? No, do not go here... :(
I called Royal Transmission Monday morning. They had my car towed, diagnosed, and fixed in under 24 hours! Their prices were more than fair and they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need! Thanks, guys!
