Overall: 4 (food 4; service 4; ambiance 4; price 3, cleanliness 4) This hole in the wall restaurant was fantastic! You can barely notice the spot from the outside but it's worth the visit. Delicious homemade flavors that tingle the taste buds. Some dishes were on the salty side but addition of rice settles the pallette. Server was attentive and very polite. We were the only table (x3) at the time. Amid our meal, a few more tables were seated with guests. Given there was only one server, it was reasonable the server was absent when needed a few times for water refill, etc. However, she was still servicing the best possible. Definitely going back! We ordered many things but our favorites were the pan fried pork dumplings, the cold appetizer of spicy thin pork slices drizzled with chili oil (packed with flavor and good in its own, with rice, or snacked throughout meal), and Mapo Tofu. On the salty side: spicy Szechuan chicken wings, crispy duck (some pieces were dry to the taste), dry pot squid and spicy beef noodle soup (noodles were light and delicious-my daughter practically ate almost all--not as spicy). Other dishes: Hot and sour soup-suttle hot and sour taste with more ginger hints but needed more umami punch; egg drop soup-lighter flavor; Szechuan dumplings in chili oil-very tasty and moist with perfect saltiness; Singapore noodles-fragranced with curry and not overly greasy like typical fast Chinese spots- although it could use more vegetables and a pinch of salt.

Friendly server. Delicious! I had the shrimp crispy noodles. Lots of shrimp and variety of veggies. Plenty. Enough for 3 meals! Dine in with adherence to pandemic. Quiet.

Heard good things so ordered pickup through Chownow. Everything went smoothly. The packaging was neat and tidy. Food was hearty and tasty. We ordered the lettuce wraps, double cooked pork, and West Lake soup which had heaps of tofu, beef, and egg. It could’ve used a bit more salt or seasoning, but was satisfying and filling nonetheless. The pork was very well cooked and full of flavor. Could’ve had more meat and less jalapeño in my opinion, but still worth ordering again. The lettuce wraps were my favorite as they had a flavorful medley of ingredients. The chicken was a bit spongy and undercooked for my liking however. All things considered, it is clear the staff here put great care into the food, and everything was delicious. Would love to try more of their menu. My main complaint is with the fortune cookies; they suck. They taste fine, but the fortunes inside are, by any standard, lame. They need to find a better fortune cookie vendor, one with with funny, witty, ACTUAL fortunes.

My wife is from Beijing. She does not like Szechuan's food. She says that it does not taste authentic, that it tastes 'wrong' and 'incorrect'. If you're looking for somewhat westernized Chinese food there's nothing wrong with it. But if you're picky like my wife is: This is not a taste of home. I realize that in the US 'authentic' is often used to mean spicy. The food certainly is spicy. But I feel that, if they're using 'authentic' to mean spicy that's very disingenuous to people like my wife who just want a taste of their homeland.

Met some good friends for dinner. Food choices were many. When the sesame dish was a bit under cooked they made it right. Service was quick. A very busy restaurant. Give it try.

I enjoyed my meal there! Szechuan adds just the right amount of spice to their dishes to make them extra flavorful, but not overpowering heat.

The food here is absolutely delicious. The Szechuan green beans are my favorite, perfectly cooked every time. Can't recommend it highly enough.
