Hand cut big chunky fries, perfectly fried.. so delicious. Fries don't get better than this. The location is superb as well, as the outdoor tables are in the central plaza of Roskilde. The Elderflower drink was really good as well, however the beer and the smoothie is just average. The service was a bit slow however the waffles made up for it. Close to 4 stars but ended up staying at 5 because .. of those fries !

The worst experience I have ever had in Denmark in the last 5.5 years. The worst restaurant manager (Name Julie?) I have ever met who kept lying and finding excuses and completely ruined a beautiful sunny day. Usually I dont really like complaining but this time it was a JOKE! (I will also provide my feedback in official channel like company website or whatever.....) Here is the story: We were eating outside and my 3-year old girl need to go to toilet. But the manager stopped us from coming in to use toilet for 3 times with 10 versions of different reasons and we had to take our girl to a public toilet hundred meters away!!!! (Funny thing is that all other waiter/waitress would like to help us and said no problem at all to come in with them. However, this powerful manager said NO every time....) Finally she came back to our table and said she misunderstood from the beginning and we could actually go in. She could not even find a logical way to defend herself because she already messed up with all kinds of lies...However, it completely ruined our day and we decided to leave immediately with remaining half finished foods (I think there is obvious reason why they want people to pay first... because who will pay after received such poor service ?????)
I noticed the outdoor seating on our way to the Viking museum. It seemed pretty busy which I thought was a good sign. Outdoor seating was a huge plus with umbrellas and plenty of tables. You order at the counter; then, they bring you the food. My expectation was simple sandwiches or plates, but they really delivered. I had the goat cheese salad. They loaded the salad with every kind of green they could lay their hands on. Plenty of crunch and cheese and just the right amount of dressing. At the table, someone had the salmon sandwich. Looked incredible. The fries were just ok, but I was stealing them from someone else; so, I’m not sure if I can complain about it too much about someone else’s choice. I would say if you’re looking for a good stopping point on the way back from the museum stop here. Solid service and solid food.
The place is nice with good space between the tables. The food was alright, came quick but was a bit cold. It was a nice service though. However the guy could turn down the shouting \have a nice day\ to talking :)
A pleasant spot to enjoy an afternoon snack, a beer or even lunch. The sandwisches looked amazing. The apple tart was good. The chocolate cake wal alright. Unfortunately the coffee tasted burned like starbucks ... 69kr for coffee and desert between 12-17.
