This place is charging what the market will bear. They won't get a dime of my money unless their pricing strategy changes. Rip-off (Gander) Mountain even looks better by comparison. Need ammo go up the road to Academy. Need guns, go downtown to McBride's. Sure the sales staff are all crotchety old farts that rarely smile, but so am I. Prices are fair and Joe will give a good deal on a used gun if you catch him in a good mood.

I had a flawless purchase of my handgun here for well under retail and less than anyone else in area by around 50. the staff was friendly and eager to help. Their phones and computer system was down so I had to go get cash from the ATM, but that is hardly their fault. I have my CHL so there was no background to wait for. I purchased some ammo in store for a reasonable price, about market. I'm glad I had a much better experience than others claim to, I drove all the way from Buda up there. I will be back to make more purchases for firearms in the future.
Let me start by saying that I have spent a lot of money with this company both online and in-store. After my experience today, CTD will not be getting another dime of my money. I was told when I ordered my rifle directly through CTD online, that if I did not like it or there was problem when it arrived, I could exchange or pay the difference for a different gun. It took more than 2 weeks for my gun to arrive, which I found to be a bit absurd since I had to pay an extra 10 for in-state shipping. Then, when my gun finally arrived, I was met with an attitude from the manager, because they didn't call me to tell me my gun had arrived. After I looked at the rifle, it did not have a heavy barrel which is, what I told the sales person who I bought it from, that I wanted. I was told that the gun was mine and they do not take returns or give credit toward a new gun. 2 different managers told my that I was basically stuck with this rifle. Gander Mountain has no problem having guns sent to the store and exchanging or returning it if you do not like it. Looks like Gander Mountain will be getting all of my money from here on out.
I ordered 2 fifty rd boxes of .308 from these special folks which was my first and last. UPS delivered the package which had loose ammunition rolling around in it. I opened the package, one of the plastic containers was all but destroyed, the bubble wrap had few remaining viable cells. I'm no expert on such matters but given the lack of damage to the box in which the ammo was shipped I can only presume that someone special at CTD threw the 50 rd. plastic box onto the floor, swept the broken plastic pieces and bullets into a scoop shovel then into the shipping box. I phoned CTD and after a 10 minute hold a clerk answered, "can I hep you"? *Click* he terminated the call just as I began to say "I have a ..." There are other suppliers out there.
Decent selection and if they don't have what your looking for at this store they can ship it to your address free of charge. But you have to go to the store to get the free shipping. The previous reveiwers are looking for guns. Ctd is not supposed to be a gun store, but a accessories store
This location is stocked full of tactical arms at great prices, also a decent selection of fine rifles and shotguns.
First and last time customer. I was looking for something in the 7.62 caliber and came across a rough shape Chinese SKS. Price was fair for the condition so I decided to purchase it. After passing the background screening and filling out all the paperwork, the manager came by and raised the price 50 - claming it was for 2 hours cleaning the gun. The gun still had cosmoline caked in the front sights and had to be thoroughly cleaned and oiled. Don't expect to pay the sticker price at this store.
I placed an order with CTD and received everything as ordered, very happy with them, will order again from them.
