I have had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! They have drug me through the mud! They have said multiple times my loan was good and everything is fine and yet I keep getting pushed out to close and they keep asking for more BS. They literally have my money and I still don't have a home! I'm homeless at this point. Do NOT GO WITH THEM IT WILL COST YOU MORE IN THE LONG RUN!

I was looking for my first house and found DR homes to be affordable. I had a pre approval with quicken and DR talked me into going with there lender which is DHI he made it sound like a good deal 4k towards closing and lower interest rate. I was all about it. After contacting DHI my loan officer was Mark Nash. What a dweeb that guy was. He told me I would get 220k with 2.5% and 4k fir closing when he made it out and sent it for me to sign gladly I read it first. 180k at 3.5% with no closing cost. And just left it be. I contact him multiple times to see what’s going on and it’s day 4 now still no Nash.

Mark Nash was unprofessional and acted like he really did not care to give me a loan unless I was buying a DR home which is a cookie cutter house with new taxes to make up the diffrance in the low cost of the house. So you end up paying 35k more then the house asking which does not go towards the equity of the house. They are taking your profits upfront. And Mark was making sure I fell into that trap. After I sent Mark my papers he then ignored me as if he didn’t have time. I think he trades stocks and is loosing big and when he found out how much I was making he became Salty.or this is the Biggest housing scam to ever hit Texas . Cheap quality houses even the model homes are are showing cracking on the house. When I asked about it they said welcome to Texas. As if all homes have cracks. Wow what a scam

Terribly unethical business practices. DHI will hold a home buyer hostage and delay providing legally required loan disclosures to prevent you from comparing rates with other companies. Don't fall for the old trick of them paying closing costs because it's all built into the rate you're given, so you will pay for that free money 2x or more.

Scheduled a close at 9am and did not close until way over an hour after. People who showed up after us, closed before us. When asking what was going on, we were told 3 different stories. We wanted this to be a fun experience buying a new home but it turned out not to be the experience we hoped for.
