Superior customer service! Shane and staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Overall great experience renting a snowboard. Don’t wait until you get to the ski resort to rent. Far better options here!

I called their local place in East Lansing. Local area code etc. I drive a half hour to get there and park in a parking ramp and walk with 2 pairs of skates. It is 2 degrees but whatever. I go to where my GPS says is the location, and it isn't there. I call the 517 area code back (Mid Michigan) and they say they are no longer at that location. Haven't been there for years! They are only in Royal Oak which is an hour and a half from where I am. Then blame it on Google. If you know your location is being reported as hours away, why the hell wouldn't you at least disconnect the number from that area code or have employees ensure the people are inquiring about the right location? Waste of time and gas. If you can't trust them to do basic business operations like ensuring your 517 area code number is canceled and get that address removed, I wouldn't trust them with a dang thing.

Modern is one of the best indoor skateparks in the country. Not only does this place have ramps and obstacles for beginners all the way up to professionals it also very well built and planned out. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The icing on the cake is how well it’s setup with a pro shop and plenty of open area for parents and spectators. I’ve never had one bad experience at this skatepark in the 10 years I’ve been going to it. Even if you’re from out of town it’s worth a day trip. Thank you Modern for being here for the riding community.

Been taking my daughter to the drop in group lessons. She has been to two so far. On the way home today she told me she loves skateboarding! I've been using the Groupon so the price is great. The only reason that I didn't rate 5 stars is because the level of instruction had been variable with class size. The first time she had a lot of instruction because there weren't many other kids. This time a lot of kids, not as much instruction.
