My first visit; I had never shot clays before. They were all very friendly and welcoming. Every one of the staff greeted me, and chatted away like I had been there many times before. My expectations of a muddy field and loo hut were completely wrong. Most of the firing points are covered. The club house is large, with plenty of seating, and a kitchen which served hot food, teas and coffee etc. I should mention these building are basically wooden and date back to a bygone age, which I personally loved. I believe there is no need for flashy new brick buildings when these facilities are perfect to warm up, enjoy a snack and hot drink while chatting about \just how bad you were!!\ We didn't need a coaching session as my brother shoots regularly. So can't comment on that. I would definitely return for another enjoyable morning.

I flew in to the adjacent airfield a few weeks ago. Was impressed by the setup, four large shooting ranges, clay machines set in the ground, and quite a lot going on. Good large clubhouse with very reasonable refreshment prices (Sat and Wed only).
