What an amazing place, with incredibly loving and hard working staff and volunteers; cannot praise them enough. If you are looking to purchase a new addition to your family, be it cat, dog, rabbit etc, please please consider adopting an abandoned or neglected animal from Danaher. Rescue animals are so incredibly forgiving and loving - we have had seven rescue dogs - two cats and a parrot! - over many many years, and each one has been such a delight and has lived a long and healthy life with us. Go visit this amazing Danaher rescue centre, please.

Well worth a visit when we can. They normally hold a big summer fair. Although part of the RSPCA they are self funded so please help if you can.
We recently rehomed a Staffordshire bull terrier from Danaher. Because of Covid all viewings were virtual and Blue ( now called Bailey) was delivered to us by one of the carers named Louisa. Louisa was extremely professional and knowledgeable about Bailey. He has turned out to be a lovely dog and as we were advised has shown to be good with other dogs and with the grandchildren. I can thoroughly recommend Danaher and would advise anyone looking to rehome a pet to apply to them first.
I adopted a dog here a few years ago and he was a fantastic dog. The staff are friendly and can assess which animal is best for you and your lifestyle. Just past Braintree in Essex and easy to find. They have a variety of animals so check out their website and give them a call...you may meet your future member of your family (not just days & dogs).
Very helpful and professional. Staff love and know the animals. I adopted a lovely staffy. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are looking to re-home a pet.
