A facinating relic, easy walk from Errwood Hall carpark, by the side of Errwood Reservoir.

Beautiful walk around the ruins of the old hall and wonderfully kept countryside, no rubbish and the trails were all easy to follow, some steep sections off the main ruins trail, the stakeside trail takes you to the top of Shining Tor- the highest point in Cheshire, well worth the ascent!

Love taking my feral boys up to the ruins and beyond fantastic walk and even if carpark is packed you hardly see anyone on your walk

There isn't really much left to see but nearly all of the foundations are in tact so you get a feel for the scale of the old hall. Nice place to stop and have a drink and think about the history of the area.

Nice walk from the top car park ,just short of 6 miles
