A wonderful day hike. Tower is sometimes accessible by getting a key from the restaurant. Must leave an ID as deposit for the key

I was there with a friend we started our hike from Freiburg Herdern and it took us around 4-5 hours for round hike. In order to get the key, you have to go in and to the top of the Zähringer Burg.. You can get this key from the \Wald-Restaurant Zähringer Burg\ which is just 10 minutes walk from Ruin Zähringer Burg... You have to give your identity card or passport as a caution for the key.... Have fun !! :)

The place was great. If only Google Maps hadn't dragged me through the middle of nowhere to get there. Trust me people, don't rely on Maps for this one. Just read the signposts.
