I love the common cafe. I come here every time I am up visiting from Mass because the food is amazing and the owner is so friendly and kind. I looooove the pizza and the breakfast sandwiches. It is such a unique place!!

Cute country cafe with breakfast, soup and sandwiches on the menu. Easy to miss if you're not actually looking for it (and despite a huge sign by the road) but worth looking for! The sandwiches are good sized and the breakfasts are served all day. I wasn't able to experience the bar upstairs though I did get a photo. I did not get a street view photo or a shot of the front of the building but they offer outdoor dining which was nice on this beautiful day! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Warm and cozy atmosphere, menu looked great and extensive. Unfortunately, we walked out on Sunday 9/6/2020 at 1pm after seeing both of the cook / food servers handling all their orders for 10 minutes with no gloves on. One of the two cooks, a young, very thin male with brown hair, glasses, a black winter cap, dirty black sweatpants and a bright green shirt. Teenage, probably. He appeared to be being trained by the female cook. He was putting bread, kielbasa, pancake mix, and blueberries for the pancakes on the griddle with bare hands. While cooking on an open griddle, he ate blueberries several times with no regard of all the customers watching. I don't think he knew any better and how several of us reacted. The other was a young woman wearing all black, dark hair, and also glasses. She appeared slightly older, early twenties maybe, and seemed to be training the young man. She was not wearing any gloves either, putting kielbasa on the grill with bare hands, touching sourdough for sandwiches with bare hands as well. She reached into several bags / boxes of food with bare hands. At least she wasn't eating and of the food while preparing it like the young man. None of the three employees working wore a mask at any point. I looked, and the box of latex gloves sitting in the work area by the window was not empty. We walked out before our food came out. Not worth asking for a refund, and so much of the raw food had already been touched, breathed on, and eaten over, that it wouldn't have been worth it to request they put their gloves on. Very disappointing experience, regardless of COVID this would have made me walk.

If they are not wearing masks and gloves and acting like normal people, that is the place I want to go. The last thing we need is you bringing your disease and preaching to us that we should wear a mask and be social distancing.

Luckily I came by on the night that their specials were Mexican themed, although I've heard that their regular menu is great. I will be back to try their burgers and pizzas. Great beer selection. Will also have to come on a night with live music.
