My husband retained Ryan Family Law to handle our divorce. The experience I had with them was top notch. Technically Justin was not my attorney, as my husband was the one who retained him, but I was still treated great. The staff, specifically Lori, was beyond helpful.

I contacted Ryan Family Law for a modification of my custody agreement, that had been long-standing for 4 years. We had a limited time to complete a new agreement and I believe they handled our time very well. The cost was very fair, and communication was impeccable given the current circumstances. With the covid-19 restrictions we weren't able to actually meet in person, only communicate via email or phone calls. I hope that I won't be needing to contact them again for more modifications of my agreement however if the day does come I will contact this law firm again for their work.

Justin Ryan has helped me get to see my daughter again with a visitation schedule that I would've never imagined. Not only did he get me the time that I wanted to see my daughter consistantly but he also went out with a bang and got me granted 50/50 decision making for my daughter. Without his help, his drive, passion and genuinely caring about my situation there is no telling how much less I would have walked out of the court room with. He will not disappoint in court. He has a respected, calm demeanor in front of the judge that I think the judge favors. In the end, Justin Ryan has put together a 23 page document pertaining to my daughter that I would have never accomplished without him. I would have been left with a simple visitation and no decision responsibilities for my daughter and her current/future. Just Ryan, my family respects you and appreciates you for everything you helped us with. You have a well deserved 5 star rating.

Be careful with Ryan Jr. Any person with their salt as lawyer would advise you to invoke their 5th amendment and request your lawyer present when speaking with police. I had a situation in the beginning of my divorce where the police were involved. I called Ryan Jr, my divorce lawyer at the time as the situation was happening. He advised me to talk to the police and did not advise me to invoke the 5th amendment nor my right to lawyer when speaking with the police. These errors by Justin Ryan was detrimental to me and my son. Was Justin having a bad day? Was he just seeing how much money was to made from the divorce? Is this a chance you are willing to take when it comes to your children? There were other errors made by Justin Ryan. After hearing Justin say that I couldn't afford him no longer and he wanted to leave the case was confused. I had the money and ended up hiring a different lawyer but some of the mistakes Justin made couldn't be corrected and the consequences were huge. My rating for Justin Ryan in one star. If I were to go through my divorce and the same situations again, I would learn from my mistake and would have researched his and other lawyers outcome of legal cases. Not just reviews on Google but actual legal cases these lawyers worked on themselves. That is where you find out the quality of their work. For the sake of other children of divorce I cannot stay quiet anymore. Sorry but the public needs to be warned of this critical errors made by Justin Ryan. It has long term effects on my son. I pray for the sake of other children of divorce that Justin never becomes an official elected judge in Kane County.
