Stayed for 6 months. Planned to stay for longer, but I just couldn't. Don't get me wrong - the room is pretty decent (16m2). It's got a nice bed and desk and a rather big closet. The food is also pretty good. Now, the reason why I am only giving it 2 stars? Well, I first wanted to give it one star - but except for these two bad points everything else was okay. So, the main reason is the rules. Especially that one rule which REALLY grinds my gears My brother and sister came to visit me in Japan and my sister was NOT allowed in my room at first. I just wanted to show it to them! Now after getting really upset with the manager he let me show her the room as well - but just for 10 minutes. I partly understand why they wouldn't want to let you take random girls to your room - but FAMILY MEMBERS? I mean come on!! It is a SHARED dormitory between guys and girls. So technically the opposite gender could go into another room without anybody noticing - but family members of the opposite gender are not allowed? Who are you kidding? Then having a curfew of being home by 24:00 sucked as well. I had to call everytime I wanted to stay out. And they won't let you until until 06:30 in the morning. You can't even leave before 06:30 unless you have a good reason to. This dormitory just has stupid rules. Sometimes it did actually feel like a prison. The food was good though.
