Horrible experience being left at the dock.... scheduled to fish from 8-12 and when we got to the dock at 8 we had no charter and when I finally got a phone call back 24 minutes later I was informed that the people who were supposed to fish tomorrow morning from 8-10 showed up to fish this morning and he just loaded them up and took them out even though I’m sure we don’t have the same name and they were only scheduled for a 2 hour trip... I would have thought after being told about the mistake that his response would have been “I’m on my way back to the dock to pick you up”, because let’s face it people make mistakes, but no he would not come get us. Once I got that response I knew that this was not someone I wanted to have take my family fishing. So now I have 2 very disappointed kids that have been looking forward to the trip. I wasn’t offered a discount if we waited to go out at 10:30, (when the fishing wasn’t as good!) no nothing just sorry I messed up. Nothing to make good on HIS mistake. Not even offer to cover the 20 we paid for parking. This experience basically ruined my family trip. I suggest everyone avoid having this happen to them by not taking the chance with this charter. If such a simple mistake can happen and not corrected I would not like to see what else could possibly happen.

We had a fantastic fishing trip tonight with Peter Sage! We caught 3 stripers and a lobster. Although we unfortunately had to let the stripers go (we were missing an inch or two), everybody had a great time! It was a pleasure to drive out with Captain Sage and I can definitely recommend a trip with him while you are around! Easy to talk to, calm and experienced! Thank you!
I chartered the Iona's Working with Captain Peter Sage on Friday, July 29 2018. We went out at 8am for a 4 hour trip. The ocean was very rough that day, so after trolling for mackerel to use as bait we went back inside the sea wall. Captain Sage found a good spot for us as we landed seven stripers. My 7 year old was thrilled and Captain Sage was a pleasure to deal with. He was patient, courteous and easy to talk to. My son has not stopped talking about what a great time he had. A big thank you to Peter Sage for making a lasting memory for my son and I. I have no hesitation recommending a trip with Sage Charters. -Eric Lawrence Troy, NY
Not as lucky as others - We struggled to catch much baitfish at the start of the trip, so ended up fishing with dead bait for stripers and hardly catching anything. Change in the weather presumably caused tough fishing conditions. Seems like the success of the trip relies on catching a good amount of mackerel at the start of the trip.
