My SWP Stealth digi mig 200 broke after 9 months of light use. i sent it back to them with correct paperwork that was emailed to them and in the box. The machine was put to one side for a the first week due to no paperwork which like i said was clearly there. I was promised time and time again that my machine would be looked at which it wasn't and to be honest it was a bit of a nightmare chasing them constantly (which i recommend you do if your machine breaks) long story short I had to get my welding supplier to chase them up as well for the machine to be finally looked at. No fault was found and one of there managers kindly offered to come to my place to trouble shoot as they think its my power supply that the machine has ran of for 9 months with no problems aswell as other 180-200 amp welders that have run of my supply with no issues. The welder was returned and is now working perfectly on my power supply, despite my experience I was informed by SWP that they usually have a 48-72 hour turn around and my welding supplier was also shocked at the service i received and told me this is very unlike the service they have experienced with SWP and they are usually a lot better.

I wouldnt recommend any of SWP arc welder machines they dont last very long. I bought my first welder at the age of 17 after saving up for the machine. So I went to a local welding products store and I bought the \TOP OF THE RANGE MACHINE\ (SWP DIGI ARC 200) costing me 430 which was alot of money for me to save up. after 2years 6months the machine packed up after only using 2 packets of welding rods (small boxs). I returned to the store that I purchased it from to be told \Dont you know they are only a cheap chinese machine\ (wouldve been handy to know when i bought it) He then said theres nothing he could do. I then contacted SWP and was told that they were problomatic and I said mine made a high frequency buzzing noise since i got it but thought it was a standard thing for an inverter welder to make. being so young i wasnt any wiser. the nice lady confirmed that saying that was a problem with them from day 1. I was then passed around from person to person with not even an apology from any of them. So now im stuck with a broken welder 430 down the drain and a hobby project sitting on the ground outside my house unfinished.
