Serving casual authentic izakaya style food from Japan, our menu is designed to be shared with the table. Our small bites range from fresh sushi and sashimi to light crispy tempura and hot charcoal grilled robata skewers.


Larger plates include salmon and vegetable poke bowls, assorted donburi rice bowls, and gozen bento sets served in a traditional kaiseki tray with steamed white koshihikari rice, wafu salada, tofu and wakame miso soup.


Sake is king at Sakagura, choose from a wide selection of sake from some of the best artisan breweries in Japan or get fruity with our unique range of Japanese inspired sake cocktails. We also have a great selection of virgin cocktails and soft drinks.

I am giving 5 stars because there is no possibility to give 10 stars! This place is an absolute gem in London and you can be sure to be tasting stunning, authentic Japanese pieces of art coupled with wonderful sake. I have visited for the \11 Course Chef Table\ and I can certainly say that I have never had anything comparable in London! From the beginning to the end, every detail has been absolutely perfect: you will immerse yourself into a journey through different flavours and will leave with your belly satisfied and a wonderful smile on your face! I could not recommend this place and the \11 Course Chef Table\ experience more! Can't wait to be back!

Location and ambiance are great. They have that high-tech washlet kinda toilet. :) Service was horrendous, however. We had to ask three times to get water to begin with. It also took quite some time just to get cutlery... Everything was so slow although it wasn’t busy at all. (We went there around 2pm on Sat.) We ordered hot stone steaks and one of raw meat cuts they brought clearly looked old and smelled funky. We nicely asked them to replace it with new one and waiter initially said “all meat looks different and this meat is fine.” She was friendly but very incompetent. It was a bit disrespectful to answer like that... Overall, I would expect much much higher service level since they are not that cheap. They need to train waiters properly and never serve old / funky-smelling meat.

Really good food, can get a very busy at dinner time. Price is what you would expect for great quality food. Dragon roll skewers are the way to go!

Very nice Japanese food served here. I'm very enjoy it. Especially stone bbq wagyu beef. Highly recommended!

Overall it was a good meal but quite expensive though. The self stone-cooked beef was very delicious but just the volume was a little. Rice in the Sushi was sour and to be honest, nothing special about the sushi roll. So I would recommend to order the beef :)
