靴メーカーとして有名なリーガル・コーポレーションや初代東京駅の外壁レンガを製造した品川白煉瓦製造所などの会社を設立させて日本靴産業の父や明治の工業の父と呼ばれた幕末から明治時代に活躍した実業家であり貴族議員の西村茂樹氏の弟である西村勝三氏の銅像 ちょっと疲れているような顔が味わい深い像である
