Very attractive window display and lots of people coming in and out attracted me to visit. Lots of selections that seem to rotate. Lots of various types and shapes of bread, and a limited lunch/sandwich selection. Lots of small tables inside. In store dining orders are taken by the coffee makers, and take aways are done at the register near the entrance. Note: this bakery is on a pedestrian street near Plaza Mayor. Reasonable prices, beautiful looking pastries, and decent service. I only sampled the pao de deus, which wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be. It was a slightly sweet (egg) roll with grated coconut on top. The texture was dense, and it was plenty filling for one person.

Excellent churros and a very tasty chocolate, very good also the donut
This bakery is well worth visiting. It's a well organized store where you can have a coffee and a snack or you can just buy your breads and pastries to go. Coffee comes in all the regular varieties and is of good quality. The pastries are sold per piece but are cheaper when you buy them in threes, fours or even tens, depending on the kind.
Nice patisserie for breakfast or have a break
