You cannot come to Salamanca and miss Plaza Mayor. It is an experience to walk around and enjoy the many restaurants and shops. Find a table and soak it all in. When we visited in late July 2020 there was no scaffolding up so nothing was hidden from view. The many different entrances have their own enchanting uniqueness. Make sure you see them all. You will be transported back to a very different time in history.

What can you say about Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. It is one of my favourite places in the world. Whether it's during the day when the sun shines on the sandstone and it glows golden unlike anywhere else in Spain. Or during the night when the lights turn on and it's just a wonder to behold. I've spend many days and nights sitting in the square with a wine and will never get sick of it. Truly a magnificent square.
Quite impressive and good restaurants and night life. Absolutely beautiful if not stunning. Whole city is highly recommended. River nearby where you can walk, cycle, go jogging on the kilometers long pedestrian stripe.
Most beautiful plaza in the whole of Spain. This is the pumping heart of the city, a place that doesnt sleep, a harmonious piece of art.
So amazing and such a beautiful place. Destiny obligated in Spain. Less than 2h from Madrid. Plaza mayor in Salamanca. Great nights. Full party. Beautiful and happy people. You won’t regret!!
