Fascinating stories of the Royal Flying Corps from its earliest days beautifully presented in original RFC hangars. History would have been very different if it wasn't for these gentlemen and those who followed in the RAF. Lots of aircraft from the earliest to recent times. A brilliant place to visit. Covid-19 safety included.

Our 10 and 7 year old boys absolutely love it. Only place they can get hands on with the aircraft and learn about the history in a fun and interesting way. The volunteers are amazing, and all have their stories to tell and time to spare to add to the amazing experience. Always something new to see everytime we visit. Having known very little about this place until visiting, I was very suprised to find out about it's important place in aviation history. An amazing listed hangar building c. 1917 contains a fine collection of aircraft and cockpits of all kinds which are easily and readily accessible. The staff were all friendly and extremely knowledgeable. An excellent visit.
