I purchased a boat from Tim the owner. Great person and honest. He provided his professional experience and opinion when asking questions about my purchase. I actually went there to purchase another boat, however, after speaking with Tim, he provided me with information regarding the boat I went to see and the boat I purchased. Example, the boat I was looking at was small and able to handle. However, my wife and I fell in love with another boat that is much larger and requires 2 people to dock and launch. Tim was clear with the requirements and maintenance of a larger boat. His advice and guidance was most helpful and appreciated. We even spoke with his boat mechanic. The mechanic was very informative and very knowledgeable about boats. I prefer to purchase from this family operated business vice some commercial business.

Amazing! They sold my boat in record time. Within a month I returned and purchased a larger boat from them. They handled everything for me from the servicing of my new purchase to tag, registration, etc. I even received a call from them a week after purchasing to ensure that I was pleased with everything. Great people, I highly recommend Salter Marine.

**WARNING TO THOSE TRAVELLING TO PURCHASE A BOAT** If there was a option for NEGATIVE 10 stars, that's how I'd rate this. Spoke with the owner over the course of three days about a boat I was interested in. After EXPLICITLY telling him my wife would not purchase a boat that was not clean or had issues he told us both on speakphone that other than a small tear in the rear of the captain seat the boat was \PERFECT\. After our last phone call of questions and me committing to the boat he called me and told me that someone else was on the lot trying to buy it and he needed to make sure I was committed to coming down, to which I said yes. So, if he had a buyer on the lot ready to purchase he had no reason to lie to me about the condition of the boat, right? WRONG.. He still swore it was in GREAT condition and well taken care of. So I got on the road for the 32 hour round trip drive to pick it up. When I arrived it was like he posted photos of two completely different boats. The interior cabin cushions were missing, the fiberglass on the deck was cracked, the \small tear\ he referred to was a 4 ft tear (not shown in the photos posted online) the gauges were full of water, he swore it had never been in saltwater and as a boat mechanic it had clear signs of having been in saltwater, the gel coat was trashed, needed all new pinstriping. The boat was in TERRIBLE shape. The trip down there and back cost me well over 1000.00, 4 days worth of work, and over 40 hours of my time.
