Fantastic unmissable modern art gallery in Stuttgart. It's split into 2 parts - one in the city centre and one newer and larger part perched on top of a cliff with magnificent views over the city. The clifftop part is accessed by a pedestrian lift. The entrance cost and the lift cost is included in the Salzburg card. The photos show both items from the permanent collection as well as from the social exhibitions on in December 2019.

Enjoyed the experience!! Space is great, with a fantastic view of the city. Give yourself 2-3 hours to enjoy it all. They provide free lockers for your bags and there’s limited areas to take photos...which was a nice change. The current show “Fly Me to the Moon” is exceptional, I highly recommend. The James Turrell installation is also wonderful. There’s a great park at the back you can walk around, I recommend this as well.
April 2019. A bit strange exhibition devoted to Austrian photographers. You should be an expert in this area to understand the idea.
Fantastic collections on display and some of the best views of the city.
Great museum with interesting exhibitions at a reasonable price. Make sure to ask for the student discount if you are a student and to check the different exhibits between the two branches of the museum to make sure you go to the one that you'd like the most.
Worth a visit Not really into modern art but enjoyed my visit
It's got nice movie installations of modern art, including people I various poses around the dead sea in Israel and its conservation efforts. Exhibitions on Austrian cinema also.
You need to have a taste of Modern Art before visiting this place
