The hotel iteself is very nice, however room (at least our) has available at one room tiny ventilator placed on the table, the other bedroom had nothing, so sleeping at warm room (outside day temperature was 28C) was very unconvinient. We were travelling in couple with 6yo son and breakfast were dissapointing. We got one dessert plate with 3pcs of cheese, 5 slices of ham assorties, 1 slice of tomato and 2 slices of cucumber, 4 bred rolls and as choise scrambled eggs. Somehow we get confused that this is a level of service which hotel has..... We left with mixed feelings and for the next time we will look into other hotels as our choice for overnight stay.

The personal was very service minded. The rooms where very warm and no possibilities to adjust the temperature. There was a really bad smell in the room. The wifi connection was bad in the complete hotel.
Great little hotel, love the food and great service. Rooms are bit smaller than usual. AC is non existent but weather is great so everything would be ok with the windows open until 4am in the morning when the birds start their tune and the delivery truck slams the doors.
Nice, clean and friendly
So, I was on a bike trip from the Netherlands to Berlin and I needed a place to charge my phone because I had slept in the the wilderness for the past 2 days. Unfortunately, it was a sunday... and Germany is completely deserted on Sundays. Completely. So after a long day I arrived in Salzwedel and checked for any nearby campings, hostels or Gasthause, because they're cheap. What I saw was that in a 10km diameter there was only one hotel open. Hotel Union. So, since I had no choice, I went. It did cost me 60 bucks, which is a lot compared to the normal 8 I spend on just food but my experience there was amazing. Upon checking in I noticed that I was the only customer for the night, so I and the employee talked and drank for a while until he went home at 21:30 and gave me the keys of the hotel in case if I wanted to head into town. I didn't because the contrast felt all too amazing. Wilderniss - \u003e entire hotel. I went to my room, took a bath, called my family and enjoyed the luxury of only finding German synchronised movies on the television. The next morning I walked downstairs to find a truly spectacular and delicious breakfast with everything that you'd want. When the employee noticed me he was already walking with a can of coffee to fill my cup and asked my night rest. We talked some more and I asked him if I could bring some extra lunch with. He walked to the back and came back with a bag for me to put some bread in. And after a few hours on the road, I got to enjoy a delicious lunch from Hotel Union!
