Creditably: hawaii background, family in Hawaii, half Japanese(cuz there’s a lot of fusion). Eats out every weekend for 18 years. I got the bento and the poke Positives: the restaurant was very clean and modernize. Good poke, rice, fried chicken, and meat. Negatives: there’s the no Hawaiian music or any music at all. The atmosphere was dry and quiet. There seemed the be inside seating but it was only for the workers... like u trying to tease us or smt. The service wasn’t the best. They forgot our sauces which they charge! They charge up to a dollar for some sauce like bruh. Also the Mac salad was horrible. There was potato and celery! I never had Mac salad that had big chunks of potato’s. The Mac salad was the biggest disappointment. My parents who lived raised in Hawaii was disappointed as well. Also the price was expensive. The bento box was like 13 or 14 dollars... also they didn’t give us free water Bcz of covid. Like it’s literally a water cup. Just had us a water cup. So we bought water which was like 2 each. The last thing was the Masubi. Masubi is very simple. But they had to make it fancy. They cut it in half and the ratio of rice to spam was off. To much rice. Overall thoughts: not a repeater. I wish there’s zippys in the mainland the best Hawaiian restaurant here in seattle is Kona kitchen in my opinion . It’s very traditional and they have a deep history in Hawaiian culture and foods. It’s legit and the price is fair for there quality.

Doesn't have crazy options like big poke chain restaurants, but this place offers good poke plates and some other menus. Their fried garlic chicken was really good, too.

Ordered a couple musubis and bentos. Sadly, the rice in the musubi dishes were half cooked, raw hard rice. Crunchy. Sad, as the rice will make or break your musubi experience. It’s gotta be soft, fresh. The fillings were good so just ate that. Bento katsu was overcooked to a chocolate color, very hard on the outside but could taste that the flavor was good. Macaroni salad was nicer than most as it had potato too but was under seasoned. Another friend from Hawaii said he’s eaten here before and his garlic chicken was good. If you’re from Hawaii, hopefully you visit on a good day. Maintaining quality and consistency is important and I’m guessing Sam would not be pleased to have his name on this.

Best spicy Poké I’ve had. Really exceptional flavor and quality in everything. Rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the tuna was awesome. Not too spicy not too mild for my taste and the salads were lit. Maybe a touch pricey compared to others but it’s worth it!
