I took my pubescent daughter here to bring her up-to-date on her immunizations. Dr Katz decided to do a check-up before administering the injections. During the check-up , he placed his hand on my daughter's (fully clothed) chest without first taking her permission. He moved his stethoscope holding hand all over her chest. He made no effort to ensure that only his stethoscope made contact with her shy growing body. Moreover, she was not sick, and so such an intense examination of every inch of her chest was wholly unnecessary. I am sorely disappointed that a doctor of his age and experience behaved in this manner. Dr Katz was aware and commented on how agitated my daughter was becoming but was not bothered by this. Obviously I failed to protect my daughter from such a predator, but perhaps this can serve as a warning to other parents.

DR. Katz is the most intelligent, gentle, informative and compassionate pediatrician. He has been in my sons life since day one... 7 years later he still shows the same love and commitment. I TRUST him with my sons health and well-being completely. Not only do I fully trust him for my son, I also (mother) trust him for the guidance for myself. To be said, he is the only doctor I believe and trust in any practices (adult or child). He is a good man and loves what he does to heal and help grow beautiful children. His staff are the most wonderful ladies. They are very attentive and get all request from parent, doctor, insurance fulfilled very quickly. Dr. Katz will take the time and call you if you need anything! I suggest any parent to have Dr. Katz to heal and guide your child/children.
We have been going to Dr. Katz for since my oldest was 1. Two healthy boys and one girl now in their teens. Dr. Katz has been professional, dependable, and really cares about our children. He has consistently diagnosed and treated any problems that they have had, and yet takes the time to really get to know each of them. Something you never get from most pediatric center. I would recommend him highly.
We love this Doctor. As a health care professional myself I can attest to Dr Katz' expertise and professionalism. He has kept all three of my children healthy when they were little; one girl and two boys. And two of them still see him as older teenagers helping manage their injuries, concussions, vaccines cuts and bruises, etc. He practices medicine the right way. One patient at a time. His waiting room doesn't have 50 kids coughing and sniffling while waiting to be seen. He's old school which is what I like best. He spends time with his patients and their parents and does thorough exams. He asks the right questions and he makes accurate diagnoses. We live about 30 minutes away and have seen other pediatricians in the past that are closer to where we live but they just don't compare. Not even close. I read two other patient posts. One about inappropriate touching and the other one on "man handling". My wife and I never experienced anything like that ever in Dr. Katz' office. I expect my kids' pediatrician to do a thorough assessment so it doesn't bother us that he touches especially since we're right there in the room watching. I don't think a doctor needs to ask my child permission to do his job. And as far as "man handling," my kids listen and behave allowing a doctor to do what he needs to do. Otherwise they know that I would have to "man handle" them myself. Thank You Dr Katz.
our family has been going to Doctor Katz for over 23 years ( 3 boys) and have always been very happy with him, a great Doctor who we trust Implicitly . our children are in great hands!
