Not my first time here, been coming in for years. Ordered some take out tonight. Got the fried chicken some fried tomatoes and the chocolate cake. It was all delicious. If you’re looking for inside catering for an event or wedding they can take care of those needs as well.

Great spot. not your typical So Cal or even Orange County place. great decor and vibe. awesome Espresso Martinis and the little heart-shaped cornbread for 0.50 is a hit. :) The catfish with grits was a bit flavorless and during Covid the menu is limited, especially since I do not eat meat. Overall it was a positive experience and I would absolutely return.

The fried chicken is the best I've ever eaten. I really miss the meatloaf. JC is the most hospitable server and Kellan makes the best drinks.

I don't hate this place. Just my only experience dining in was horrible and embarrassing. I'm fully understanding of crazy fluid conditions. As a restaurant manager I'd just say your servers should communicate more. And role players should help stressed servers. Me and my date waited for 10 minutes to be acknowledged after we sat. And that was only because the table next to us told the server to come to us and take our order because we waited so long. She took our water and drink order. She took the large tables order afterwards. Their drinks came. The table sat 15 minutes after us got their drinks. We saw our server running around frazzled. Never once stopping by or ever looking our direction to update us on our drink order. We made the choice then that when we received our drinks we'd just pay and leave. After we saw the party's food trickling out we decided to just leave. No scene. After a counted 37 minutes with no water or drinks or acknowledgment. We told the table who advocated our drink order thank you. And left. Nobody on staff seemed to mind. No acknowledgment from the hostess while walking by either. I'm not writing for anything other than to genuinely hope you get things tightened a bit before this happens to someone less understanding. I manage a restaurant and I get it. But no one should feel like they don't matter when in your restaurant.
