Awful! Gave us the WRONG ADDRESS TO RETURN THE CAR twice!!! We spent 2 DAYS of our holiday looking everywhere and calling lines that’s do not work on weekends and getting no where. In the end they OVERCHARGED us by making it impossible to return the car over the weekends! SCAMMERS!

I have paid more than in other companies because I always relay on Avis and know that it is a good company (180Euro for 4 days with full insurance). Unfortunately, this time Avis had jeopardized my family and we will never rent any car from Avis company. The car that I have rented was 3 years old with 60000km. It was in bad condition, the rear tires were from the year of car production with a lot of cracks on them so I assume that are still the same from the car production (60k km on same tires - relly Avis this is how you want to save money? on safety of your client?). I am not a professional sport driver that want to drive a car with so-called slick tires. The front brake discs had a huge abrasion and made all the time kind of scraping sound. In the place like Tenerife when brakes on steep downhills are a major part that you have to trust we were dread on our safe. Please imagine how works a clutch in a car with 60 000km done by hundreds of people driving on the mountainous island. Finally, the fuel tank was 7/8 not like 8/8 mentioned in the agreement. I did not have time to go back and argue for 5 euro but this is not something that you expect from Avis.
I have forget my sunglasses in the car, and they didn't bothered to answering my emails regarding the situation..., not to mention that i had to drove to them with the original car who was broken after 200km. If you want to get in touch with them (in chase of any problem with the car) you can call them only between 9:00-17:00 (if they will answer you), or you need to give them a email and they will notify you that they will answer your request in 14 days. (After you vacation is over)!
READ IT BEFORE RENT HERE, we do not recommend to use their service: insurance doesn’t mean anything. In their contacts if case of damage/loss/thief happens you are obligated to cover it and then deal with the insurance company. car was not clean. We don’t know if they used to do so or not, but in fact we pay for cleaning for the next customer. We contacted them, to ask for compensation, they tried to make fools out of us, telling it’s just parking dust, but it is clear that there is dirt and insects’ remains. the condition of the car makes you wish for better. Brakes, gearbox, and tires don’t seems to be served at any moment of 30 000km of odometer. unresponsive and incompetent staff. Here doesn’t exist customer service. We were forced to inspect the car alone with all this dirt on it you can imagine it is not easy. We also supposed like everywhere in good companies they already have marked obvious defects. Staff reluctantly wrote everything that we found in contract, also she provided to us false information that “damages until 10cm we do not have to include”, we were enough wise to do not believe in it and insisted to document every single one. And what happened right next? We received mail with contact where in rules only damages no larger than 2,5 cm are not counting. they prefer one-time clients. We took the car at 3p.m. for 3 days. We called to them in the morning when we had to return the car to ask if we can give it back in 2p.m. and the lady shocked us with her answer. The addition cost is 30 (for simple fact it is cost of the rent day!), we asked why and how is it possible arguing with simple facts, she just told that she’ll transfer the call to someone. This someone never responded to us, so we returned the car and were forced to use 2 taxi instead one, from airport to our hotel and then from our there to another destination. I think it’s obviously that owners of the company don’t know how much they can earn on life-time value of their clients.

I‘ve just had the best car rental experience here. Although they were busy I got my car within 5 minutes. They speak good English and make a very well organised impression. They even accepted a copy of some documents I forgot at home.
They charge you 20 for fuel service even though you fill up the tank and return the vehicle with FULL tank. Complete lack of transparency. Better option is to use their yellow competitor next door, you know what you gonna pay for sure.
